New Resources for PDCA Members
(ST. LOUIS – November 2008) – Painting and Decorating Contractors of America has added new solutions for members. Contractors in the field who join the association and existing members upon their next membership renewal will be able to select an annual subscription from two excellent online services at no additional charge. The combined non-member rates for these services total a value of over $300 dollars.
Managing cost properly has a huge impact on the bottom line. Yourcostcenter.com provides the complete picture of a company’s pricing structure. After dealing with a struggling bottom line while still completing a large number of projects, painting contractor Brian Drucks realized that he needed to do a better job of tracking his costs. His solution was more than some simple spreadsheet. He spoke with computer programmers and web designers to create what has become yourcostcenter.com. This online service allows painting contractors as well as plumbers, carpenters and other labor intensive trade companies to evaluate their costs. Cost of staff, equipment, hourly rates etc. are analyzed by the website to provide solid guidance to users looking to get the most for what they accomplish. “Who better to understand the software that a small-business owner needs to run a company than another small-business owner?” Heather Clancy - New York Times - September 26, 2007
